From Vision to Reality: Our Journey to the A2SV AI for Impact Finals

When we were randomly paired for the A2SV AI for Impact Hackathon, none of us could have predicted how perfectly the stars would align. Our team stood out uniquely—bringing together talents from Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, and Tanzania. What could have been a challenge became our greatest strength.

Birth of GET AI and Clario

In the heart of our discussions, we identified a crucial gap in the African market: the lack of accessible, comprehensive product information for consumers. This revelation led to the birth of GET AI, our company dedicated to transforming Africa's digital landscape. Our first pioneering solution, Clario, is an AI-powered platform that revolutionizes how African consumers interact with products through:

• Intelligent Barcode Scanning: Making product information instantly accessible
• Multilingual Support: Breaking language barriers across African communities
• Local Alternative Suggestions: Empowering consumers with choices
• Real-time Market Insights: Helping make informed decisions

Clario represents just the beginning of GET AI's mission to bridge the technological gap in Africa, serving as our flagship product in democratizing product information access.

Challenges and Triumphs

The journey wasn't without its hurdles. Passport and Visa issues meant part of our team couldn't make it to Ethiopia for the finals. But what could have broken our spirit only made us stronger. Thanks to the organizers' support, remote participation became possible, and our team's resilience shone through.

The Mentorship Experience

One of the most valuable aspects of our journey was the mentorship we received. Under the guidance of Mehmet Erdogan from Amazon, our vision for GET AI and Clario evolved from concept to viable solution. The exposure to insights from industry leaders at Google, LinkedIn, and Amazon proved invaluable in shaping our project.

Though we didn't secure a top-three position, what we gained was far more valuable:
